Tonya Hofmann
Fresh out of college from the University of Houston with a BA degree, she and husband Michael opened two Science and Nature stores in Houston. Within seven years, they grew their business from start-up to over a half million dollars in annual sales. Moving on to the next rung, Tonya founded a new concept in networking and advertising called Your Local City. The new idea combined affordability, online directory and advertising exposure, and personal-involvement networking participation. The result was an organization that erupted began operating statewide. Having recently sold the Your Local City statewide networking groups to a national network organization, has enabled her and Michael to create their latest and most energetic endeavor called Stand Out in Your Business.
Stand Out in Your Business reflects Tonya’s what-is-in-it-for-you business motto. The entire organization has been designed so its membership has access to website development, business and program development, book publishing and coaching along with other fabulous programs being created by national experts. Under the Stand Out in Your Business umbrella, each member may create their own sub-group and receive revenue as their leader. She and Michael have pioneered the use of programmed training video capsules delivered to members electronically every business day. These bite-sized lessons keep progress moving forward and help members steadily achieve business goals.
Stand Out in Your Business is on track to become yet another success for Tonya and Michael.
Tonya has won the eWomenNetwork International Conference Business Match Maker of the Year award in 2008 out of their 25,000 members. She has been nominated numerous times for such honors as the Austin Business Journal’s Profiles in Power award and The Best Business Connectors in Dallas by the U.S. Small Business Conference.
